Richard is a global business executive and entrepreneur with more than 20 years of broad-based business experience. He started his career as a CPA and CISA at Coopers & Lybrand, Price Waterhouse, and Arthur Andersen where he specialized in the financial services market. He launched his first entrepreneurial venture as founder of Guarded Networks, Inc., a leading MSSP and consultancy which was sold in 2004. He later joined the executive team of Perimeter eSecurity where he served as CEO, President, and CISO during his 10+ years of tenure. The company, which was renamed SilverSky, was sold to BAE Systems in 2014. Richard remained on the executive team and served as President of BAE Systems, Asia Pacific region. In 2020, he led an MBO of the company from BAE and assumed his current role of SilverSky CEO. Richard also serves as an adjunct professor of information security in the College of Business Administration at Florida International University.
Jason’s unique vision, coupled with 20+ years of leadership experience and drive to successfully execute on forward-thinking strategies, allow him to excel at developing leading-edge solutions and processes that reduce security risk and improve operational efficiency. Prior to working for SilverSky, he served as the CEO of NeoNova. He holds a B.S. in Business Management from Nova Southeastern University and an M.S. in Management Information Systems from Florida International University. Jason supports several non-profit organizations including Overflowing Hands, Narrow Gate, and serves on the board of Hope Reins. His hobbies include trail running and hiking.
Cary’s career has been focused primarily on providing on-demand services in the cybersecurity market. After early positions with Hughes Aircraft and MIT developing radar signal processing, he founded Message Secure Corporation and brought the first secure email service for the financial services industry into the on-demand space. After selling the company to a partnership between Perimeter Internetworking and Goldman Sachs, he led a team that worked on an MBO of Integralis, a public Munich-based company that ultimately was sold to NTT. Currently he invests in small companies and recently finished the acquisition of SilverSky back from BAE. Cary has a B.S. in electrical engineering, and lives with his wife and four children in Boston MA.
Justin has more than 20 years of experience designing and deploying various IT services, solutions, and custom programming – a skill he taught himself at age 14. He started ACSG as a side business and placeholder for IP initiatives, and later relaunched it as a full-time business that provided IT and cybersecurity solutions to municipalities, K-12 school districts, and corporate clients. Justin grew the business to roughly $4 million in revenue prior to being acquired by SilverSky in 2021. He attended Clayton College and State University. When he is not at work, Justin enjoys spending time with family, fishing, anything technology-related, and is an avid PADI-certified scuba diver.
Bill has a broad knowledge of security, IT operations, customer service, and managed services gained through a 25+ year career working in the aerospace, manufacturing, financial services, and IT security sectors. From start-up environments to global enterprises, he has held senior leadership roles in data center operations, customer support, and R&D with areas of focus including M&A integration, global expansion projects, information security, and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining SilverSky in 2004 through acquisition, Bill led First Union’s (Wells Fargo) security and operations for online banking applications. When not at work, he enjoys spending time outdoors and activities including snowboarding, hunting, fishing, and diving.
Erik’s finance experience is focused in the cybersecurity industry. He has held key leadership roles during his 20-year tenure with SilverSky and has helped to steer the company financially through its evolution. Previously, he worked for American Scandia, XL RE, and UPS. He has a B.S. in Business Administration from Southern CT State University with an Accounting major. Erik is a member of the Bethesda Lutheran Church, and supports Lutheran-sponsored charitable organizations including Lutheran World Relief. His favorite non-work pastimes are hiking and mountain biking.
Dave joined SilverSky in 2020, and supports the company’s partnership, sales, pre-sales, and customer success activities. Previously, at NeoNova/NRTC and Astute Solutions he led growth and revenue units and managed assimilation projects resulting from M&A transactions. He has a transparent and collaborative approach to designing solutions that solve specific business problems. Dave grew up in Camden Maine, earned his B.S. in Business from Marietta College, and moved to NC where he still resides near Raleigh. During his free time, he shares a love of baseball with his daughter, a front-office member of the Worcester Red Sox and his son, a 5th year pitcher at Lenoir Rhyne University.
Clark’s many responsibilities at SilverSky include running the company’s marketing efforts; supporting the creation, negotiations, and processing of sales and vendor contracts; and managing SilverSky’s global facilities. He has been in the cybersecurity industry for 20+ years in capacities from product development, product management, product marketing, to pricing. Previously, he worked in the nuclear industry. Clark has a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of North Carolina. When not at work, he is normally in the woods chasing something or playing with his dog. Clark supports his wife in her passion of helping people, including through Cookies for Kids’ Cancer.
